Well first of all I would like to thank all the many people who wished me happy birthday. I feel very special knowing your remember me.

I woke up a bit before 7am feeling one year older and had emotions arising because I am entering a new decade! I was greeted by my roommates and felt great! Breakfast was nice, we had toast using our new toaster, coffee, leftover egg, and frosted flakes! YUM!

I washed my clothes cause they were piling up in which I sweated a lot cause it was very hot.

Lunch time came around and I got a very pleasant surprise from our landlord neighbor who is like our grandma. She bought me a cake, which it was a strange type of egg like cake, tasty but very sweet. Also for lunch we ate my favorite Filipino food! Shomai, which I came to find out is actually Chinese J

I had visitors come see me, which was delightful. Some of the girls at our campus ministry came to our base, it was their first time to visit and it was just to say happy birthday!

When our visitors left we played a few games of blitz which is always fun! It’s our favorite game here at the base! And not to brag or anything but the queen is definitely still alive, hehe.

The day flew by so fast and by the time I knew it we were heading out the door to our base director’s house which is just down the street a little ways for dinner. It’s tradition here at the base, whenever someone has a birthday they will say words of encouragement and pray over that person. So we did that, which kuya Manny recorded with his new camera. Maybe when he gets the time he’ll give me the footage. Next they sang happy birthday to me three times and we ate our thanksgiving dinner of turkey, baked potatoes, and of course rice. Oh and a tuna salad made up of lettuce, carrots, cucumber and tuna on top. Since we ate cake earlier they were considerate and we had fruit for dessert! Yummy! I like fruits!

We did have a short meeting after my celebration about obtaining visas for their Taiwan outreach.

I had a wonderful day and it was full of joy, I am thankful for all the thought they put into making me feel special and loved. I live with great people! Happy birthday and happy Thanksgiving!

OK, Dutch Blitz? I believe I gave you that game, so it’s only right that I’m still the queen – definitely time for a match.
