Sunday we had an outreach at a church. Which just means that we semi-conducted their service. We danced, shared testimonies and Kuya Manny gave the sermon. Over the past weeks I have learned three songs during our free time to perform with the group. My nerves were all over the place because I only practiced with the team one time and I didn’t feel like I had mastered them quite yet. After all my worrying it turned out OK, I did mess up a few times but that’s life I guess. At the end of the very long service the congregation really were mesmerized by me because I’m white. We had a lot of photo taking. Which was quite funny in my opinion.

They invited us back to their church this Friday for their youth night. So this week we have been practicing more songs. And I have learned three songs over the past three days. My head is spinning now! Who knows if I will remember them. Practices are very long and slow because there is not much action going on. Also it is a bit difficult for me to get what’s going on because they speak in Tagalog during practice most of the time.

Maybe after Friday I will have some pictures of us dancing, or maybe I could have a video of one of the dances too! J

Things have relaxed a bit here not as busy running around town, but I have come to learn there is nothing as “normal”. Things are always different as in times we do things and go places. In my opinion, I am quite a flexible person but I have been learning to be even more flexible.

We just dance. Most of the church services the songs are in english.
