This is my lovely comlifer family.

Ok, I will have to say, this is my first time blogging, and I’m sorry, it may be rough in the beginning, but practice will make perfect.

To start, I am happy to say, I am safe, all moved in and comfy! Our house is amazing; we rent from a very nice lady and the street we live on is lovely, there are many large houses…huge houses, it’s a very nice neighborhood, we are the only house on the street that rents. My room is nice, not too big, but def not too small. There is a humble dresser, two large windows and new turquoise curtains. My roommate and I have bunk beds.

Next, let me talk to you about my roommate, Rosy; she is perfect! She’s Puerto Rican, loves to cook and she loves the Lord very much. Her heart is so servant-like. I couldn’t ask for anything better, she is very like-minded with me and we both grew up near Chicago. We get along very well!

This past week, we have been going to many meetings, I have learned lots more about AIM, mentorship, how a community looks in accordance with the Bible, finances, and how God wired each of us as an individual.
Our team has been through a couple of team building activities, these our group have learned a lot from. They bring out the best and our faults.

Every week day our team meets at 8:30 to start the day out with prayer, we have all decided that this is the most important thing in order to keep our community house functioning. PRAYER!

Yesterday we went and looked at ministry opportunities. There is a small part of the community that people call “Little Mexico”. We got a nice tour of it by an awesome man of God, Angelo, who has a heart for the Hispanics. Many of the Hispanics here are under the poverty level; there are numerous gangs and people that are hurting. My heart goes out to these people and I am excited to actually start making relationships with the Hispanic people.

Some ways you can be praying for me; please pray:

  •  That the quiet times that I have with God will be sincere and heart changing.
  • That my brain can handle all the information I’m trying to process.
  • that a job opportunity will come up that’s close to the house, for a few reasons, to get to know some people round town, have a little spending money and because I like to work with people.
  • That our household will continue to bond together.

Thanks

  3. I’m so glad you are bonding with everyone and that you feel at home in GA. I knew God was in the house when I met some of your comlife friends. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to meet Rosie, she sounds like your kindred-spirit! I will be praying for you all and that the Holy Spirit will teach you truth and that you use wisdom from God to do His will.
