One of our days in Cairo, we had a kids club. Our theme lesson was on the walls of Jericho. Ali received a word from God; Cairo having thick walls of forlorn and how they will come down with prayer and his timing, kind of the same with the wall of Jericho.

Kids club began by rounding up the kids in the neighborhood, but our audience seemed to be many little kids, (which was ok with us) we were just expecting more middle school aged. We adapted quickly, we started the club time by making beaded bracelets as a way to get to know the kids. After this we had the story of the wall of Jericho coming down. The story was beautifully taught by Ali, who used to be a pre-school teacher.

As an activity we set up boxes making it look like a wall, and marched around it with flags and imaginary trumpets. And in the end the wall came crashing down!

I believe that one day God will show his faithfulness to the people of Cairo and the people praying for Cairo, the walls of depression will come down and the city will be restored.
