It’s true, you haven’t heard from me in a while. It’s not cause I’m completely too busy, but I will admit I ran out of works to say! Who thought that was possible?

Well this past week has been for the most normal, as normal as normal can get. We have been going to ministry which I had missed so much. I love hanging out with the little kids at Arellano, this past time we went, we made Christmas cards together, which was very joyful, I helped them spell things or create a tree on their card. They were supposed to make them for their family but we wound up taking them all home…I think next time we meet we’ll continue making them.

Last Monday I went with Dreb to the young people’s Bible study, in which he asked me on the way there if I wanted to share, thankfully I had prepared something the previous Friday for a different group so I accepted the invitation. But we came into a little while later, the person who was going to translate for me couldn’t anymore. So Dreb and I were on our own. Instead of giving the whole talk for the day, I just read a scripture from the Bible, which we then translated into Tagalog and Dreb talked bout it a while. I really like this time of ours. It was a small group of only five, but they were devoted to being there and much laughter and joking was happening. Even though I can’t speak Tagalog I do understand what’s going on…well for the most part J I enjoyed this Bible study a lot!

Something I found amusing…Yesterday (Monday the 30th) we had a national holiday, Bonifacio Day, in which no one around here knew why they took this day to observe Andres Bonifacio their hero, well I did a little history check online I figured out why. He was a revolutionist during the time the Philippines was trying to break free from Spain. I just found it amusing cause it’s a holiday here. J

A few other pictures I’ve taken lately…

This is Enchin, she sticks by my side all the time when she sees me.

This was during a very crazy shoe distribution, in which, Fronie, the one in charge of distributing, got her shoe ripped. Ironic huh?

AHHH??? I don’t really know what’s going on here…but they wanted me to take a pic real bad.

These were our young people we have for bible study. We gave them new shoes.

  1. Nice to know all is well and that you’re keeping busy helping all that are in need. Your words of supporting those less fortunate are inspiring. Keep up the work that God has sent you to perform. Prayers are always with you. Miss ya alot.

  2. I read that there are 92 Million people living in the Philippines. What a staggering number! Wisconsin only has 5 million. Does it seem hugely overpopulated when you walk around?

  3. Hi Maggie! Sounds like you’re getting into more of a rhythm now. Good. Thanks for the update.
